McLil Creative Media LLC was founded in 2024 by Heather Arlen, a digital marketing enthusiast and creative force who named her business after her beloved Cavapoo, Lily—affectionately known as McLil. Heather’s journey into entrepreneurship began in 2016 when she and her mother, Patty, opened Arlo and Joy, a Mother-Daughter Women’s Accessories Boutique. This experience gave Heather her first taste of the entrepreneurial hustle—the blood, sweat, and occasional tears that go into building a thriving business from the ground up.

While at Arlo and Joy, Heather discovered her passion for digital marketing and branding. Without formal training, she dove headfirst into social media, email campaigns, and brand strategy, proving her knack for making a business stand out in a crowded market. After nearly seven incredible years, Heather and Patty decided to close the doors of Arlo and Joy, but Heather’s love for digital marketing never faded. She explored other career paths but always found her way back to her true calling.

Heather understood the rollercoaster at Arlo and Joy: owning and operating a small business. She’s been there, juggling all the hats, figuring out the perfect fit, so you don’t have to. With McLil Creative Media, Heather’s mission is to help small business owners reclaim their time and focus on what truly matters—the passion that led them to start their business in the first place.

Heather is particularly dedicated to supporting small, local, women-owned businesses. Her passion for women’s health and wellness shines through in everything she does, from yoga and pilates to Ayurveda and mental health advocacy.
